Plenty of deals were to be had as members brought in some no longer needed items that others in the club may enjoy.
The longest shave contest was a success as members used the knowledge they learned from this years meetings to fine tune their hand planes and create the longest thinnest shave they can. It was very close but Andrew C. was the winner of a Veritas apron plane.
The Nail Driving Contest was an exercise in humility for some as members had to drive a 4 inch spike into spruce in the least amounts of hits as possible. We had a tie at seven hits between Don S. and Darryl G. so it went to a nail off where Darryl G. pulled off the victory. Darryl G. won a two pack of Makita sanders.
This concludes the season for the Niagara Woodworking Club and next season will start again on September 15th. Thanks for the great year and we'll see everyone in the fall!
